Something old, somthing new...

A piece of glass brick costs about 2.5 euro, now is "glowing" in my craft desk. I crewed a small hole at side of brick,  big enough to put Christmas light through. Paintings and stickers on one side of brick, put ribbon around and flowers on top.

Yes, "Imagine, believe and achieve".

My mother left this pair of shoes while she visited to us one summer. They are made from cotton, very comfortable just need to update the style. Changes are easy to do, some cuts and glue ups.
After changes they are used for my dancing practices.

Nnnnn, as live in Scandinavian, almost very house has a piece of Ikea mopo drawer. They are very practical and functional. After two years, I am bored of it plain look. With some hints I got from Pinterest, came out this antique marine look and I love it!

This antique look "painting" is very easy, you need just a cup of old coffee (I used instant coffee powder), 1 tbs white vinegar and stole wool. Store them in container over night, brush it over wooden subject, let it dry. I added too much vinegar at first and the smell of paint were not pleasant so you might need go to garage for painting. :)

working space for crafting

My husband and me built own first house together last year. Nesting and organizing take time. Especially for someone who loves to collect fabrics, books, and craft tools. I have been sewing on dining table, drawing in children's room, painting in garage... These are depressing! I need my own spot inside house where I can put on music from iphone and do my own things in peace !

Do it now and do it by myself! Used two afternoon cleaned up the table in laundry room, tiled the wall, and assembled led lights under cabins.... It starts to look very nice! :)

I still need to have a chock board, a jewelry stand... First project is to engrave a rubber stamp and then "table light made from a glass brick" ..... Exceeded!!!!

Teddy Bear Pirate

I made some personalization on the original craft design. The skull tie was made from a toy ring, plus the blinded eye, Teddy was changed into a pirate.

The original sample sheet:

DIY socks doll- Usavich rabbit

Ok, it is a graphically manipulated picture, just for fun. :)

I think you could find in anyone's laundry room  some pieces sucks are forever missing his/her partner. Socks doll are easy and fun to make with children.

baby shoes

I was almost detected to DIY since very young age. Last two years had a break to build probably the biggest DIY project in my live- our home.

After everything is more settled and having more time now, I started to get in touch with my passion again.  My interests have been increased by following Pinterest's "DIY &Craft" catalogue, which you could find a lot of fun, interesting ideas let you go to an "AH!" (bingo, they say in Finland).

Today, I made pair of boy shoes for Nora, who is waiting her baby to be dyed. We already know it will be girl, so its easy to pick up pink and white colors.

Here they are :

Actually they are very easy to make. I combined basic craft of a pair of baby shoes, which you could find from here:
